Baseball - Who is Smacking Right Handed Pitching

It is very common for teams to really beat up on right-handed pitching. More than half of the teams in baseball are positive units against righties. It is just that against lefties they struggle.

Boston Red Sox

Just like the Yankees are great against left-handed pitching, these Red Sox have historically been rocking righties. They are currently the biggest unit earner against righties by far.

Detroit Tigers

[39-21, +16 units]
Whether it is lefties and righties, Tigers are smacking everything. It is no different against righties as they are sitting at #2 on the charts against righties.

Chicago White Sox

[36-14, +15.1 units]
The White Sox were strong against lefties and righties last season. But this year they are only [20-15, -1.5 units] against lefties. They are winning their games against lefties with one of the best win percentages against righties (72%).

Minnesota Twins

[33-21, +12.7 units]
One of the biggest cinderella stories of this season are these Twins. It is just too bad that they are in the toughest division in the MLB.

Baltimore Orioles

[32-27, +9.4 units]
The fifth best team in the MLB against right handed pitching are these Orioles. They also happen to be one of the worst teams against lefties as they are only [7-21, -16 units].
The American League teams are dominating the charts. The top 5 teams against right handed pitchers are AL teams. 7 of the top 8 teams are American League teams which further explains their domination.

The worst teams in the league against right-handed pitchers are: Braves, Astros, Yankees, Cubs, Phillies. All of them being worse than -10 units. Note, of the bottom 5, 4 are National League teams.
