What is a Grand Salami?
By Verapol Chaiyappin (6/14/2006)
Let's face it, the majority of you gamblers are betting to make the
experience of watching a sports event more fun. There is nothing more fun than
betting on the grand salami, especially on Friday night. But most of you do not
even know what it is, because it is a concept that is most prevalent to
betting on baseball
but is spreading to football and basketball.
Grand salami's give bettors the opportunity to bet on every game on the board
with just one play. How is this possible? Instead of betting on the totals for a
single game, you get the chance to bet on the combined total of every game on
the board. So every game matters. If you were to add up all of the over-unders
of all the games, this would be your grand salami total. You can then bet the
overall total in a very fun way. If you are an extreme
sports fan then this
is just what you need to risk a small amount of money but get a lot of enjoyment.
Due to its popularity in
baseball, this bet type is spreading to football and basketball.
Where to Bet on the Grand Salami
Sportsbooks view the grand salami as a liability because it is not a
well researched concept. Games can go extra innings and really screw the grand
salamis. As a result, many of the lower sportsbooks will not publis these lines
or if they do have a maximum wager amount. Or the bet type is restricted
overnight. Check out our review on
Betcris
for a great site that offers this betting concept.
