Wade Buries Milwaukee Bucks In Miami Heat
By Michael Williams (3/8/2007)
After a long time Miami Heat’s coach, Ron Rothstein, was a relieved man. An outstanding all round display by Dwayne Wade made it possible for Miami Heat to register a third straight win against Milwaukee Bucks. They beat the Bucks at the Bradley Center convincingly by 117-98. With this win, Miami Heat managed to put an end to the losing streak. Earlier, they had lost five straight games this season.
This win was possible due to Dwayne Wade, who led from the front. Wade scored 32 points and had 11 assists and 8 rebounds. This is the second consecutive game when Wade has scored more than 20 points. Apart from Wade, there were few other major contributions in this win from other players. Jason Kapono scored a career high 28 points, Shaquille O’ Neal scored 20 points and Udonis Haslem scored 11. Altogether, it was a collective team effort.
Milwaukee Bucks’ are having a very tough season, losing 15 of their last 17 games. This is the fourth straight loss for them. Terry Stotts, Bucks’ coach, was extremely frustrated with the result and the performance of the players. Mo Williams, who scored 38 points, was the top scorer for the Bucks’. Along with him, Charlie Villanueva scored 16 points, Ruben Patterson 11 points and Charlie Bell and Earl Boykins scored 10 each.
The Bucks’ started off very well with an 8-0 run and had a slender 53-49 lead at the halftime. However, after the break, they seemed to lose their way and continuous scoring from O’Neal and Wade finally ensured that they never found their way back into the game.
