Totals Betting Systems for the New York Yankees

Preview for the 2007 Season
The New York Yankees are a very interesting team to bet totals for the following reasons: they have a very lethal offense, and a palty pitching staff. What this means is that the Yankees are very prone to go over the total in a lot of games. In fact, it is very easy to predict when the Yankees will go over.
First, you must understand that the totals can never go above a certain threshold, generally in the low double digits. The Yankees themselves are very capable of scoring over double digit runs any day of the year.
Over the past several years, the Yankees score double digit runs in around 12% of the games that they play. This means that they are almost guaranteed to go over the total in these games. Goal 1 in trying to bet the overs on the Yankees is to find the Yankees in situations where they are very likely to score double digit runs.
The second goal would be to find situations where the opponent that the Yankees are playing is very likely to score many runs. In fact, would you believe that betting the overs on the Yankees is more profitable when the pinstripes are playing on the road? Yes, it is true because their opponent has a better scoring average (obviously) on the road that far surpasses the lower scoring that they do on the road.
Besides, Vegas has a better gauge on where to place the Yankees over/unders when they are playing at home that they cannot do and do not know how to do as well as if they are playing on the road. This is because the Yankees are a high profile team and by having 81 games at home every season, Vegas learns all the trends and statistics better than you think.
