Thomas Thurman Inducted Into Hall Of Fame

Thomas Thurman, a member of Buffalo Bills team, has been inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. He is the seventh player from the Bills to be conferred this honor. Others include O J Simpson, Jim Kelly, Billy Shaw, Marv Levy, Joe DeLamielleure and James Lofton. He was selected into the 2007 class along with five other players. These included Cleveland Guard Gene Hickerson, Dallas receiver Michael Irvin, Houston lineman Bruce Matthews, Detroit tight end Charlie Sanders and St. Louis cornerback Roger Wehrli.
Speaking at news conference, Thurman said that he was jubilant with the news. He said that this is a very special moment for him and he took this opportunity to thank all his teammates, his organization and above all the fans who have always been supporting him. He emphasized that although the Bills did not win the Super Bowl, he dedicated this induction as a Super Bowl gift to his fans.
He further added that when he started playing professional football he did not think that he would be inducted into the Hall of Fame and that thought had never crossed his mind. He was modest in saying that be received this honor because he played with a great team and alongside great team members. He is considered to be one of the great running backs in the NFL. His records speak volumes about his abilities and his contribution to the team and the game as a whole
Everybody, including his former coach Levy, his teammates, his mother, wife and his children were very happy to know about his induction into the Hall of Fame. This announcement has been truly a happy and momentous occasion for Thurman family.
