The Bonds Television Show

By Michael Williams (7/26/2006)

ESPN came out with a ten part series that was to outline the lives of several athletes; it was under the reality TV genre.

The show about Bonds, which was called Bonds on Bonds, was about his life and how he is coping with chasing the all time home run record that is currently held by Hank Aaron.

The first part of the show aired on April 4, 2006, and much of it involved Bonds answering questions about steroids, and the scandal that he is currently involved in. During this segment Bonds was choking back tears as he expressed how bad he feels that people are trying to “destroy” him.

In other parts of the shoe Bonds goes on to talk about his relationship with the media. He stated that he was a victim of the press, and they were trying to do nothing more than bring him down.

Bonds on Bonds showed viewers a different side of this great slugger. But even though he had the chance to explain himself, there are still many people that do not want anything to do with him. All of his past actions have put him in a bad light, and a lot of people do not want to be associated with his antics.
