System Against Teams in a Rut During Interleague Play
By Michael Williams (6/19/2006)
Teams do not know each other during
interleague play and if a team is in a rut, how do you expect them to be able to
hit against an opposing pitcher whom they have never seen before? Well, we dont
and have been making loads of cash betting against them.
The success of home teams during interleague baseball is also a very well
documented angle and the sportsbooks are not shy about adjust the lines in their
favor. But sometimes there is an overemphasis in the line. What if the team
stuck in a rut is playing at home? Do they really deserve the added 20 points
interleague home teams get. Emphatically, we say NO
One of the systems that we use to bet is "going against interleague home teams
that are averaging 2 or fewer runs over their past 4 games". Especially if our
teams is either an underdog or a small favorite because in those situations we
expect the greatest overadjustment against our team in the spread.
Such a system has gone a modest 26-18, +13 units dating back to 1999. This does
not happen often but represents a very favorable nugget of information to add to
your betting arsenal.
We often find ourselves having a dominatinig road pitcher getting points on the
road in interleague play. All because the home field advantage is screwing up
the odds. But when you consider that the home team is struggling, you get some
great plays.
Bet the underdogs early and often. Join our recommended sportsbook for the best
baseball odds.
