NFC South
By Kris Lazaro (10/10/2006)
Before the 2006 season even starts it is easy to see that the NFC South is going to be one of the best divisions in the league. All four teams are strong, and looking to make a move to the top of the division this season. In addition, every team in the division has added some personnel that should help get them to the next level.
The early favorite to win the NFC South is the Carolina Panthers. They were a great football team in 2005, and with one of the best defenses in the league they should be able to pick up in the same place this season. In fact, a lot of the experts are already predicting that the Panthers will win the Super Bowl this season.
But before the Panthers can claim the title they have three other teams that they will need to worry about in the NFC South. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Atlanta Falcons, and New Orleans Saints are also in the NFC South. It appears that the Buccaneers will be the biggest threat to the Panthers, but any one of these teams is capable of coming out on top in 2006.
It is safe to say that they NFC South race will be an interesting one this season. Even though the Panthers are favored to win, the other three teams are more than capable of coming out on top. As the season winds down it will be interesting to see which NFC South takes the bull by the horn.
