NBA Announces Marketing Partnership With A Chinese Dairy

The NBA and Inner Mongolia Mengniu Dairy Industry Group announced a marketing partnership to promote a healthy lifestyle to young people in China by using Mengniu’s expertise in nutrition and NBA’s in sports.
NBA China Vice President and Managing Director Mark Fischer, Vice President of Mengniu Group Bai Ying, NBA Hall of Famer George Gervin made this announced in Beijing along with 20 children from an elementary school.
As NBA’s new marketing partner in China, Mengniu will be the Official Dairy Product of the NBA in China. NBA and Mengniu are slated to launch a number of social program in 500 elementary schools across China that will give children a healthy diet and physical well being by combining nutrition and sports.
Fischer said that by partnering Mengniu, NBA will have a wonderful opportunity to promote the importance of active and healthy lifestyle. Mengniu and NBA will be able to reach out to millions of NBA fans in China through community service.
While Gervin said that as professional basketball player he is aware the skills and technique along with proper nutrition and healthy diet is important if one wants to succeed on the court. He further stated that he was excited to see NBA partner Mengniu to spread the message of sports and nutrition.
Bai Ying, the Vice President for the dairy group, said that the partnership between NBA and Mengniu defines the meaning of health by adding passion and excitement to it.
Mengniu will promote its products during the NBA programs, which will be aired on 51
television stations throughout China. Besides this, Mengniu will participate in the NBA Jam Van which visited 17 cities in China last year. The group will conduct online promotions on NBA.com/china and at retail outlets.
