Baseball - LeBron James Under Pressure To Improve F

It has becoming more and more evident that LeBron James is slowly damaging his image every time he goes to the foul line. In the last ten games, James has made just 59 of 98 free throws and this has managed to drop his average from the line to 68 percent.

James is well aware that he is struggling but it is worse for the Cavaliers who have ended up being the NBA’s worst free throwing shooting team for most of the season with 68 percent. If the Cavaliers want to be taken as serious title contenders then they would have to brush up their act and convert more shots. Otherwise, they will continue giving away games like they have been doing recently.

James says that he is trying to rectify the free shots because all his careers he has had 70 percent conversion and it had never been a problem before and he does not see it as a problem now.

James has been spending extra time with Cavaliers assistant coach Chris Jent and he has been practicing his shooting. It is said that Jent made some minor changes to James shot but one still can not see the results.

According to Jent, James is working with him to change the free throwing shots into rhythm shots and at the moment, James is trying to discover his comfort level. Jent thinks that it is quite normal as some players show signs of regression before making the actual progress.

However, James is having a harrowing time and it quite obvious how many time he has missed free throw shots. Out of 16 players who have attempted 300 free throws, James is ranked at 13th. When compared to NBA’s superstars and MVP possibilities, James is far behind in ranking.

James would have to make a concerted effort to improve because if does not, teams are bound to foul him late in games knowing that he would not be able to take the pressure because of his dismal show.
