Get Your MLB Futures Bets In Early
By Michael Williams (7/26/2006)
You have to place your MLB Futures bets
immediately upon reading this article. It is an urgent matter because every
single futures odds will lose value after the All Star break. We will list out
some of the value futures bets.
Detroit Tigers are 7-1 odds to win the AL. I am sure we can all agree that the
White Sox are the favorites to win the Central but even if the Tigers lost the
division, they are close to a lock for the wildcard right now. Getting them at
7-1 odds to win the AL seems too good to be true considering how they have been
playing up to this point in the season.
Boston Red Sox +120 to win AL East. The Yankees-Red Sox were tied for the AL
East lead last week before interleague play. The Red Sox went on a 12 game
winning streak and are up 5.0 games right now on the Yankees. The odds have not
adjusted at some
sportsbooks because they do not have a
habit of updating these often. Just think how much time it would take to
re-evaluate meaningless futures bets everyday. They will adjust the lines only
after noticing a lot of money pouring into one of the propositions or if a major
news event hits. Get this spread early.
AL -130 to beat NL. Easiest play of them all. If interleague play has taught you
anything, it is the fact that the American League is far superior than the
National League. Sporting two consecutive World Series sweeps, there is nothing
to believe they cannot do it again this year.
Tigers, Red Sox, White Sox seem to be the only 3 teams likely to make it to the
World Series from the American League. Take each of them to win the world
series.
