Football Is Driving The Nation Crazy
By Michael Williams (2/9/2007)
There has to be a valid reason as to why Super Bowl Sunday has become the unofficial national holiday in the United States.
Whenever people are bored or longing for company, all they have to do is get their neighbor over, switch on the TV and watch football. Immediately there is a discernable change in the once boring ambience. The atmosphere gets charged and you and your neighboring screaming and shouting yourself silly. All of a sudden there is a surge in your adrenalin levels and you are no longer bored or lonely.
Football is a game meant to be viewed and enjoyed in the company of others. It offers all the thrills and spills with nail biting dodges, swearing and cursing. This game is definitely not made for the faint hearted.
Those days are over when football was considered to be a sole realm of male gender. Today women too are playing this game. No longer are the women gentle and lady like. The take this game as seriously as the next guy and are excelling in it. Football is the only game that get a child away from all computer or TV. Schools and colleges are promoting this game like never before. They are making the younger generation realize the benefits of fun and fitness.
Football helps to relax the mind and body. It is a sport that is cheap and affordable. Football helps you forge bonds on the field that can extend outside and form lifelong friendships. This is not a privilege accorded by a computer or television. Once you have played a game of football you will realize as to why this sport is driving the nation crazy. There is nothing like football and there never will be anything like football.
