The Seattle Seahawks were the division champs last year. However, if you saw the game, you might not have thought they looked like they should be holding that title. It was an interesting game that made many wonder if they team was struggling with first week “jitters”. In fact, the team looked pretty weak and without confidence. Perhaps their game plan blew up and they didn’t really know what to do at that point. Or maybe the critics were right and the players were nervous at having to uphold their title as division champs. Whatever it was, it didn’t look too pretty.

The good news is that the team did manage to pull off a win, with a last second field goal. The main disappointment came when the Seattle Seahawks were not able to get into the end zone, in all four quarters. In fact, they only had three field goals all game. Sure it was enough to create the win for Seattle, but it is not what fans are accustomed to seeing from this team. The team was the leading scoring team last season, which made for some interesting football! However, when the new Seattle team came out struggling to score at all, things looked boring from the stands.

Word around the Seattle camp says that the Seahawks are more confident than ever after their first win. So, maybe they will start showing it more on the field and get their fans as excited about the game as they were last season.
