Carson Palmer
By Kris Lazaro (10/10/2006)
In the first round of the playoffs in 2005, Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Carson Palmer tore up his knee against the Pittsburgh Steelers. This put him out for the rest of the season, as well as the majority of the off season. But the good thing for Bengals fans is that Carson Palmer appears to be closer than ever before to making a full comeback to the gridiron. If he can do so before the start of the season it will be an amazing feat.
After his injury it was not sure if Carson Palmer would ever be able to play football again. He tore several key ligaments, and his type of injury has ended professional football careers in the past. But through a strict workout regimen Carson Palmer made his way back to throwing the ball earlier than his doctors thought possible.
If Carson Palmer is going to be as successful this season as last, he is going to have to take care of his knee. And this is just as much his offensive lines job. It is safe to say that fewer hits to Carson Palmer’s knee is a good thing for everybody concerned.
In 2005 Carson Palmer was one of the best quarterbacks in the league. He was throwing the ball with accuracy, and leading his team to a lot of victories. The bottom line is that Carson Palmer is an integral part of the Bengals success. Fans, coaches, and players are anxiously awaiting his comeback to the field.
