Bonds Hits another Home Run
Barry Bonds, who plays for the San Francisco Giants hit his 724th home run this week against the San Diego Padres. Bonds, who is 41, is only thirty-one home runs away from the all time record set by Hank Aaron. This is quite an achievement for the player who has been in the game for a long time. Barry Bonds led the Giants to victory over the Padres. His home run just adds to his great career so far. Many people have tried to match or beat Bonds in home runs, but they cannot keep up with him.
A home run is one of the best hits any play can accomplish during a game. The highest amount of home runs is so high, they whoever beats it, will go down in history. Bonds is older than most players, so he will need to neat the record soon or another player may beat him to it. Bonds has had sixteen home runs this season alone. By next season, he may beat the high score.
Home runs are a great way to give a team the advantage they will need to win a game. If a ball is hit out of the ballpark, there is little the opposing team can do except watch the other team bring in points. If the bases are loaded, this is an even better opportunity to hit a home run. Bonds will beat this record and set his own by the time his career is over. Then another player will try to beat it.
