Betting on Tennis
By Michael Williams (4/6/2006)
Career tests often suggest that one should pick an activity that they love
doing most, and then try to make a living at it. Given this theory, do
counselors consider gambling a profession?
There are many sports junkies who make their millions solely on placing bets.
And, yes, wagers on the tennis matches are no exception. While football pools
and horse track betting are the popular cards to play for high rollers, tennis
betting is not as trendy. However unfashionable, this financial venture could
and does have big pay offs.
Because tennis tournaments run from January until December every year, tennis
betting is one of the few sports where year-round profits can be made. The best
tournaments in which to place bets are the four biggies: Australian Open, French
Open, Wimbledon and the US Open. The first two rounds of these tournaments are
the most profitable, chocked full of invigorating court action and better odds.
Additonally, chances of winning a piece of the pie increase when risk takers
not only place bets on winner verses loser, but also on the games line and the
sets line. For better betting, check out our
tennis odds comparison
page.
