BCS College Football National Championships System
Do you like the current BCS system that determines who is the national champion in college football each year? Do you think that the BCS system is fair enough to make this determination? If so, you are in the minority. Generally speaking, the majority of people think that the BCS system is nothing more than a waste of time. They would much rather see another way of determining the national champion at the end of the college football season.
The BCS system takes into consideration several different polls when coming up with their rankings. It just appears that there are way too many flaws with this system because in many cases the best team can be left out of the national championship game. Take for instance if there are three undefeated teams at the end of the season. How does the BCS system determine which two play for the title? Well they use their points system which in turn means that one team is going to be left out. And in this case there is a good chance that two teams will end up the season with a perfect record. If this happens who is to say that one team is better than the other? This is the main issue that the majority of people have with the current BCS system.
For now, college football fans are going to have to put up with the BCS system. Even with some coaches pushing to get rid of it, it does not appear that this is going to happen anytime in the near future.
