Atlantic Coast Conference
By Kris Lazaro (10/10/2006)
The Atlantic Coast Conference is packed with great teams from top to bottom. No matter where you look in the Atlantic Coast Conference you are sure to see a team that is primed to make a run at the conference title.
In 2006 there are several Atlantic Coast Conference teams that are hoping to take the country by storm. Many experts believe that the Miami Hurricanes will be able to bounce back from a bad showing last season, and win quite a few games in the Atlantic Coast Conference. If they want to do this they are going to have to get off to a good start against Florida State in their opener. And speaking of Florida State, they are hoping to again come out on top as the champion of the Atlantic Coast Conference.
Clemson also expects to have a great season in 2006. They have experience on both offense and defense which should help to get them off on the start that they need.
Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech, and Maryland are all looking to make some noise as well. The bottom line is that there are no games off when you play in the Atlantic Coast Conference. Every week the teams in the Atlantic Coast Conference are tested by their conference foes. If a team neglects to show up for only one game they risk ruining their entire season. This should make for some very interesting match ups as the 2006 Atlantic Coast Conference season gets underway in early September.
