AFC East
By Kris Lazaro (10/10/2006)
The battle for the AFC East title this year is going to be a heated one. Each team in the AFC East is well improved over last season, and each team feels that they have a great chance at taking home the title and the playoff spot that goes along with it. The fact of the matter is that at this point it is very difficult to say which team from the AFC East will come out on top when the end of the season finally gets here.
The New England Patriots have owned the AFC East for the last few seasons. They have not been threatened too many times, and in 2006 they are hoping for more of the same. But the other three teams in the division may have a bit to say about that in the time being. This holds particularly true for the Miami Dolphins who came on very strong at the end of last season. They have added Daunte Culpepper to the offensive side of the ball, and this may give them what they need to take over the Patriots.
But do not forget about the New York Jets and the Buffalo Bills. Even though these two teams have struggled over the past couple seasons they are in a good position this year to improve over the past.
Keep an eye on the AFC East battle during the 2006 season. All four teams are strong this year, and it is anybody’s guess who will come out on top when all is said and done.
